Affiliate marketing means you promote a product someone else already made. When someone buys through your link, you earn a commission. You don’t need to create a product, handle shipping, or deal with customer support , you’re just the person who connects a buyer to a product that already exists.

Sounds simple. Here’s the part almost nobody tells beginners:

Most people who click your link don’t buy right away. They leave to think about it, get distracted, or just aren’t ready yet  and once they’re gone, they’re gone. No email, no way to reach them again, no second chance. That commission is just… gone.

 

And even when someone does buy, that person still doesn’t become yours. Their email goes to the seller’s list  not yours. You made the sale. They keep the relationship.

Either way — whether they buy or not — you start from zero again next time.
